Over the last few years the wineries (“bodegas” in Spanish) of Ronda have greatly increased their production and are going through what can only be described as a “boom time”. There are over 20 excellent vineyards producing Red, Rosé and white wines with the denomination of origin “Wines of Malaga” (Malaga being the province that Ronda belongs to.) Many of the wineries are open to the public for wine tasting tours and some even provide full lunches and dinners with matched wines to the food courses.

A family business dedicated body and soul to the world of wine since 1999. Doña Felisa Winery was founded by José María Losantos and his wife, Gema Alonso, who came to Ronda and immediately fell in love with it.

The wine interpretation centre

Ronda la Vieja or Acinipo

The Ronda area has a very long tradition of wine growing and the Roman Ruins of Acinipo a few kilometres away from Ronda can attest to this. The coins produced at this ancient site featured a cluster of grapes which without doubt demonstrates the importance of the vine in the local economy of the time.
